I am a Postpartum Doula and Early Parenting Guide based in Amsterdam. I believe that when you give birth to your baby, you are also giving birth to a new version of yourself. A version that never existed before. This transformation is big! It's huge! and it's greatly undervalued and unseen in our culture.
As a discussion facilitator and Postpartum Doula I bring peace and joy to the first weeks of your transition to parenthood. I answer your questions, connect you with local resources, work with you as a family/couple, and make sure you feel supported.

I support pregnant women in moving from feeling overwhelmed to feeling in control and confident during pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester, so they can recover both physically and mentally and combine work and motherhood with confidence. I do this through the Mama Thrive Program, which includes a fourth trimester workshop, postpartum support at home, coaching in early motherhood, and guidance in the transition back to work.
I know what it’s like to go through the transition from woman to mother. What surprised me most was how little attention is given to what happens after birth. Everyone focuses on the baby checklist and the birth itself, while the real transformation actually begins afterward: recovering, adjusting to your new role, and finding your way back to work while you have fundamentally changed.
The transition from woman to mother is structurally underestimated, even though this phase largely determines how you feel physically and mentally in the years that follow. And that needs to change. That’s why I founded Mama Thrive.

I am a psychologist (PhD) and a psychotherapist with 10 years of clinical experience. Throughout my career, I have been deeply fascinated by the profound impact of motherhood on women's psychological development, particularly in how it catalyzes the awakening of their deeper selves. This professional interest has been complemented and enriched by my personal journey into motherhood. It has given me not only strength but also invaluable insights and a unique perspective that I bring to my professional practice. The empathy I've developed through my own struggles allows me to connect more deeply with my clients, especially those grappling with the complexities of motherhood. It has reinforced my belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the potential for growth even in the face of overwhelming circumstances.

I'm a technologist with years of experience running mission-based volunteer groups and nonprofits. After moving to Amsterdam mid-pandemic and becoming a mom in 2023, I saw firsthand how hard it is to build the postpartum support network: especially for expats navigating an unfamiliar culture with fewer resources. I've combined my background in organizing with my passion for bringing people together to create a space where we can share the "full load" of parenthood. Whether I’m streamlining program logistics or facilitating our social meetups, my goal is to make sure no one has to navigate newborn parenthood without the support they need: right when, where, and how they need it.
